Product safety reminder for Lamp and Sleeve Replacement in VIQUA UV Systems:

Your water and UV system are under pressure. Before performing any maintenance on your system, in particular, removing the lamp and/or sleeve, it’s very important that you:

  • Disconnect the power.
  • Turn off the water supply upstream of the UV system.
  • Release water pressure before servicing by opening a downstream faucet. Ensure that there is no closed valve between the open faucet and the UV system.
  • Once the pressure has been relieved you can proceed with replacing your lamp, cleaning your sensor, or cleaning or replacing your sleeve.

Failure to follow these instructions can result in UV exposure, severe bodily injury or death due to the forcible ejection of a quartz sleeve, lamp, broken glass or other material from the chamber.
